At Sea

As I mentioned, today was the day for the mandatory Bermuda Covid test.  We were scheduled for 9-9:30 in Galileo's lounge.  They had issued cards with your info and a QR code on it so we were all pre-registered and all they had to do was scan the code and then scan the bar code on your little vial for the test.  The swab was quite gentle, much more so than when we do it at home.  It took about 20 minutes in all, but most of that by far was waiting in line.  They had 2 staff checking us in and 3 medical staff taking the swabs.  We had an email with the results in less than 2 hours.  Negative for us both.  However, we did hear of 2 women who were having lunch on the pool deck when the medical staff came and told them they were positive and would have to return to their cabins and await the results of a PCR test.

This morning's lecture was on wine and beer through history, which was pretty interesting.  Lunch was a seafood buffet at La Veranda and then the afternoon lecture on Phantom of the Opera - the Opera House, the author and the music.  It was very interesting.

The seas are calmer today although Captain Luksa said that Wednesday (the day before New York) is forecast to be rough.  He suggested that we not wait to pack until that day.  Mmmmhhhh.

A decent Trivia showing at 10/15, but not enough.  There was a little party for the Seven Seas Society members again, this time with Paul playing piano and Asst. Cruise Director Andrew singing a few songs.  He has a nice voice - not the best, but quite good for a non-professional  We had dinner with Sarah at Compass Rose as Lois, Patrick, and Carl had arrangements with Karen and David.

Michael has almost finished packing his 2 suitcases we'll be shipping home and I will make more progress on mine tomorrow.
