At Sea in the North Atlantic

This morning we attended the talk by Diana Preston titled "Bonnie Prince Charlie & The Last Pitched Battle in Great Britain".  She is so knowledgeable and really does her research.  The sea was a bit rough this morning but settled down over the day.  It was still a bit cold to eat lunch at the pool grill, so we had lunch at La Veranda.  This afternoon was a talk by Angela Schneider called "A Guide to the History & Lingo of Whisky".  That was very interesting and almost made me wish I liked Scotch.  Then Michael went to the fitness center and I went to find a new trivia team since my other team got off in Reykjavik.  I joined Patrick, Lois, Maureen and Clark.  Maureen's husband, Jim, was napping but should join us in the future.  We didn't do well (7/16), but at least I was able to help with the length of a bowling alley and the point count in Scrabble for H.

While we were having a pre-dinner cocktail in the Stars Lounge, Captain Aris sat down at the next table by himself.  We invited him to join us, which he did, although he ordered a soda, as his practice.  This time I was able to get a photo.  He really is a neat guy - easy-going and enjoys a bit of teasing.

Captain Aris joins us for a drink.

We met Pam and Ralph (from Danville, CA) for dinner at Compass Rose.  They were on the 2020 World Cruise with us.  We didn't make it to the show again - no surprise.  While moving showtime up to 9:15 pm helps, it's still a bit late for us when we generally get up so early.
