Today was a relatively short stop as we docked at around 8 am and had to leave at 2:30 pm. That was a combination of the tides, which are about 28 feet here, and having to get to Halifax tomorrow. We had a tour of the Moosehead Brewery. It's owned by the original family since 1867 and is the largest independent brewery in Canada. The brewing facility here is the only one in the world. At full production, they can bottle about 1 million bottles in a 24 hour period and they bottle for others under contract also. We sampled some of their special brews and small craft beers. Saint John is primarily an industrial town, so there wasn't a lot of scenery to see.

This afternoon I got a haircut while Michael went to the fitness center. Terry Bishop gave a lecture on the Tragedies of Halifax, which was informative and entertaining, as he always is.
Tonight was another formal optional night and the Captain hosted a little party for the repeat cruisers where he introduced the department heads. The Cruise Director, Ray Solaire, sang a few songs and did a few bits of ventriloquism with his puppets. He must be in his early 70's which is amazing because that job takes a lot of energy, but he makes it look easy. On the way out of the theatre, we ran into Pam and Ralph from Danville, CA who were also on our 2020 World Cruise, so we had dinner together at the Compass Rose. Lobster was again on the menu prepared differently so I had to try it. I think I can finally say that I've had enough lobster for a good while. Though we were just finishing dinner and visiting at 9:30, we decided to skip the show. It was the comedian again and Michael didn't really care. I wanted to just go back "home" and get into my comfy pajamas and climb into bed.
