Second Sea Day in the North Atlantic

This morning we learned that we will be adding the port of Akureyri, Iceland since we had to cancel the 3 ports in Greenland.  So that will be our next port after 2 more sea days.

This morning Terry Bishop gave a talk on the Really Cold War which focused on the Arctic convoys during WWII.  Then it was Tex-Mex day at the pool grill for lunch.  The temp is in the upper 40's but we found a table mostly out of the wind and near the overhead heaters so it was comfortable enough.  This afternoon was a talk by Diana Preston called "Sledges, Skis and Airships - The Dangerous Race for the North Pole".  It was interesting, but I kept thinking all those lives lost and money spent just so they can say they got there first.

Our days are really getting longer.  Sunrise is now at 5:43 am and sunset is at 10:30 pm.  Joined Mary, Jack, Jim and Marvin again for trivia and we were the winners again.  I knew it was Helen Mirren who played the Queen in the movie, that Peter Rabbit's coat was blue and that there are 36 black keys on a piano, but I wasn't forceful enough about that last one, so they went with 38.

We had dinner at Sette Mari and then back to the cabin to read and watch a little TV before calling it an early night.  We lost another hour of sleep last night and will do so again tomorrow night.  Hopefully, we'll be caught up pretty soon.  Although when we get to our easternmost destination, we will be another 5 hours ahead.
