At Sea

We have beautiful cruising through the Med today.  It's warm, about 84 degrees, and humid so the pool deck is jumping.  No loungers to be found in the shade.

The BIG NEWS today is that the crew no longer has to wear masks!!  Apparently they've been discussing it for some time and late yesterday the decision was made.  It took us a few minutes to realize what was different this morning but now all we can see are the wonderful smiles on their faces!  And for some, it takes a minute to recognize them.  There is much laughter and joy among everyone.  And they've also opened up the "quarantine" deck, number 5.  It's not clear who is there now.  I heard Nino say there are 406 on board.  We must have lost a few last minute because a few days ago he expected 416.

I forgot to post this cute picture that I took a few days ago of Nino and Paul sharing a laugh (before mask freedom day).  I think Paul had just told me that I had to make an appointment to talk to Nino now that he's had his big promotion and Nino was teasing him back.

I listened to the lecture this morning from Dr. Stephen Wessley on Seville and Cortiz.  He really knows his stuff, but I found him a bit hard to follow as there didn't seem to be any order to what he was telling us and he went through it very fast.  Michael went to the fitness center and I went to lunch on the deck in the back of La Veranda where there was no wind and the view was perfect.

We actually got third in Trivia today with 11 points.  Tonight was a formal optional night and there was another Welcome Party by the Captain.  Since we've been to 5 of these already, we decided to skip it and just order room service for dinner.  Michael was watching something on TV so I decided to try the show - a magician/illusionist, but left about halfway through.
